Our Year 8 classes welcomed Madhura from GemArts into school to learn some Indian dancing.
GemArts provides workshops to schools to enrich the lives of students through celebrating our shared cultural diversity - raising aspirations and breaking down barriers. The students had such a good time learning about Indian culture and history, and their dance moves were out of this world - even the staff showed off their moves! They all thoroughly enjoyed their time with Madhura, who showed them a variety of Bollywood and more classical dance moves so they could perform a routine. It was great to see them having so much fun and learning something new and unique. A fantastic experience they will never forget!
