Yesterday a trio of brilliant students travelled to Ashington Academy for the annual NELT Debate Competition and came back with a win!
Team Rye Hills' speaker Abbie delivered a strong speech when debating the question 'Is Barbie a good role model?' with Bedlington Academy. Following this, our Questioner Amelia put in an impressive performance as the Questioner against Easington Academy on their topic 'Has social media destroyed our ability to communicate human to human?'
Amelia's fierce questioning session resulted in her being crowned Best Questioner of the competition! A huge congratulations to all three superstars who took part!
